Market analysis · Location research

Know the market before you sign the lease.

We combine public data with your own customer and sales records to map demand, competition, and gaps, so expansion and site decisions rest on evidence instead of instinct.

The questions

Most market questions are really location questions.

If the answer depends on where customers, competitors, or sites are, it belongs on a map.

  1. 01Where should the next location go, and which candidate sites should we drop?
  2. 02Who lives, works, and shops inside each trade area?
  3. 03Where are competitors clustered, and where are the gaps?
  4. 04Which existing locations are under- or over-served by their market?

How a study runs

From question to ranked answer in four steps

Scoped up front, so you know the geography, the sources, and the deliverable before work starts.

  1. 01

    Frame the decision

Expansion, consolidation, pricing, or targeting. We agree the question, the geography, and what a good answer looks like.

  2. 02

    Assemble the market data

Public sources such as Census ACS and business listings, plus your own customer, sales, or location records.

  3. 03

    Analyze and map

Trade areas, demand, competition, and gaps, scored consistently so candidates can be compared side by side.

  4. 04

    Deliver the readout

Maps, ranked tables, and a plain-language summary your team can act on or take to leadership.

FAQ

Common questions

What data do you use?

Public sources such as U.S. Census ACS demographics and business and place listings, combined with whatever you can share: customer addresses, sales by location, loyalty data, or a list of candidate sites. Every source is named in the readout.

Do we need to share customer data?

No, but it helps. A public-data-only study answers where demand and competition sit. Adding your customer or sales records answers where your customers actually come from, which is usually the sharper question.

Can you work with our existing GIS or BI tools?

Yes. We deliver standard files and can publish into ArcGIS, QGIS, Power BI, or a web map, so the analysis doesn't live only in a PDF.

How is this different from a foot-traffic report?

Our Foot Traffic Site Report is a fast, address-level readout. Market analysis is broader: multiple sites or a whole region, your own data, and a recommendation rather than a single score.
